# `wm`

The compositor.

| `name` | `text` | Its name, such as `Hyprland`, `niri` or `sway` (the desktop's name when only the standard protocols serve it). |
| `mode` | `text?` | The compositor's binding mode (a Hyprland submap, a sway mode), null in its default one and on compositors without modes: `if wm.mode != null { text wm.mode ?? "" }`. |
